Here are some of the following study series that we will engage in, in the future, at Ohio Valley Baptist Church:

SERMON ON THE MOUNT

Matthew 5-7 records what is known as the "Sermon on the Mount." It is Jesus' longest message that is recorded in the Bible. Jesus' sermon here gives an accurate picture of what the Christian life should look like. We will study Matthew 5:1-7:29, and embark on a life-changing reflection on God's Word.

IN THE BEGINNING

We need to know about our origins. . . period. Everything else in the world is dependent on answering the question, "Where did we come from?" Looking at the first chapters of Genesis, we will learn how to defend the Genesis account of creation, we will learn about the origin of sin, and the beginning of the Israelite nation. Your knowledge of origins will far exceed what it was before.

FIRST THESSALONIANS

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is a very debated subject, but yet many Christians cannot define what it means for Jesus to return a second time. That's what this study is all about: The Second Coming of Christ. What should we expect? What is the Rapture? Is it the same as the Second Coming? Studying through 1 Thessalonians in the New Testament, we will examine questions like that.
